The Pembina Institute's submission to the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services includes five key recommendations for the 2010 budget to support British Columbia's transition to a low-carbon economy. The recommendations include broadening the carbon tax to cover 80% of B.C.'s greenhouse gas emissions and increasing the carbon tax above $30 per tonne after 2012, while continuing to increase protection for low-income families.
