Erin Flanagan, program director of federal policy at the Pembina Institute, will moderate a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities of greening the transport sector that will bring together experts from both sides of the Atlantic.
For many developed countries, reducing vehicle emissions is key to meeting their climate commitments. Zero emissions vehicles promise to make our neighbourhoods quieter, our air cleaner and our lives more sustainable. However, as green mobility innovation moves forward, many communities still face challenges relating to infrastructure, connectivity and incentive policy. At the same time, while potentially challenging established industries, zero emissions transportation is creating new niches for sustainable economic growth, contributing to a greener economy.
