Carson is the program manager for both the Business Renewables Centre-Canada, an initiative of the Pembina Institute, and the Carbon Dioxide Removal Centre. His work focuses on accelerating corporate participation in power purchase agreements and researching the development of carbon dioxide removal in Canada.
Prior to joining the Pembina Institute, Carson was a part of Morningstar Sustainalytics, focused on leveraging technology to support the growth of green bond second-party opinions and corporate ESG services. He also has experience in process optimization and mechanical design engineering across various sectors. He is a board member of the Tomorrow Foundation for a Sustainable Future.
Carson holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta, and a Master of Engineering in industrial engineering from the University of Toronto. He lives in Edmonton and can be found at a community playground or spray park with his daughter.
