This submission to the standing committee highlights the opportunities to improve Ontario's energy efficiency and productivity, and the lack of progress by the government to date in these areas. Over the past two years the government of Ontario has made commitments of $10.5 billion to new electricity supply, principally nuclear power, while committing only $163 million to energy efficiency, a ratio commitments of 64:1.
