In January 2008, the Government of Alberta stated in its Climate Change Strategy that it would "develop an Energy Efficiency Act." This report identifies energy efficiency legislation used in other jurisdictions as a starting point for the conversation in Alberta. It also contains stakeholder perspectives on how each legislative option could be implemented in the province.
