The Pembina Institute has reviewed the Ontario Power Authority’s Integrated Power System Plan Discussion Paper 2 – Load Forecast. In general, the Pembina Institute believes that the forecast likely overestimates future electricity demand in Ontario, and at best underestimates the risks associated with basing electricity system planning on long-term projections of future economic activity.
