This budget presents an opportunity for the federal government to catch up on creating clean energy jobs and investing in a sustainable future for all Canadians. The 2010 federal budget should include the following specific commitments:
- New spending to enable the large-scale deployment of renewable energy projects
- Continued funding for the suite of ecoEnergy programs set to expire in 2011
- Canada's fair share of climate financing for developing countries
- Renewed support for climate science research in Canadian universities
