EDMONTON - On Wednesday the Royal
Society of Canada will release its report on the environmental and health
impacts of the oilsands at a media conference in Edmonton.
The panel was mandated in October 2009 to look at
reclamation; impacts on health, water and air; greenhouse gas emissions; Alberta
and federal regulatory performance and the adequacy of the environmental impact
assessment process.
The report is being released Wednesday at an 11 a.m.
media conference at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
Simon Dyer, Pembina's policy director will be
attending the media conference and will be available for comment after the
report is released.
Jennifer
Grant, Pembina's oilsands program director, will also be available in Calgary.
