(Update: B.C. NDP’s John Horgan takes strong stand for clean economic growth)
VANCOUVER / COAST SALISH TERRITORY — Today, the B.C. New Democratic Party will announce its approach for clean growth and climate action in the province.
Josha MacNab, B.C. director at the Pembina Institute, will be available to speak to journalists onsite immediately following the news conference.
MacNab can comment on the state of climate policy in B.C. in the lead up to the May 9 election, and how the B.C. NDP’s approach fits in the context of the provincial government’s climate plan and the expert recommendations of the Climate Leadership Team.
The announcement comes the day before the Pembina Institute and Clean Energy Canada host a public online forum, B.C.’s Carbon Pollution and the 2017 Election. Registration for Friday’s event is free: pembina.org/BCCarbonPollution.
The Pembina Institute is a non-profit think-tank that advocates for strong, effective policies to support Canada’s clean-energy transition.
