Treaty #3 Energy Symposium

Winter Energy Symposium

Workshop
Feb. 26 12:00pm - Feb. 27 12:00am, 2025

The Treaty #3 Winter Energy Symposium will bring together community energy champions, economic development officers and energy portfolio holders from across the Anishinaabe territory, along with energy and policy professionals, government representatives and industry groups. With a focus on energy policy, funding opportunities for energy initiatives and sustainable energy solutions, the symposium aims to foster discussions within the Anishinaabe Nation on the development of a Nation-wide Treaty #3 Energy Strategy.

Rosa Brown, Senior Analyst in the Pembina Institute's Renewables in Remote Communities program, will be at the Treaty #3 Winter Energy Symposium to present information about the role of effective public policy in supporting Indigenous-led clean energy transitions. She will also host a booth at the symposium to network directly with community members.
