Update: webinar recording can be found below.
The Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change is a significant step forward for reducing emissions in the transportation sector, which accounted for about 25 per cent of Canada’s emissions in 2017. Emissions from freight trucks are a significant and growing source of emissions and it is important that policymakers follow through on PCF commitments with strong action on heavy-duty trucking. The Pembina Institute published recommendations for next steps in our May 2019 report ‘Fuel savings and emissions reductions in heavy-duty trucking: A blueprint for further action in Canada’.
Join us for a webinar presenting key findings from the report. Learn about low carbon alternatives to diesel and their benefits and limitations, progress to date on key Pan-Canadian Framework commitments, and our recommendations for further action.
Speakers: Cedric Smith, analyst, Pembina Institute and Maddy Ewing, analyst, Pembina Institute
