Sarah Snowdon is senior communications lead for building decarbonization with the Pembina Institute, working from the Ottawa office. With a background in strategic messaging and a passion for climate advocacy, Sarah has dedicated over 15 years to shaping influential narratives that drive meaningful change.
She brings more than a decade of progressive communications, public affairs, and government relations experience to her role. She has worked with some of Canada's top brands, managing and executing influential communications strategies and initiatives that build healthy, equitable, and resilient communities.
Sarah has previously worked for organizations such as the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute. At FCM, she was communications lead for the Green Municipal Fund’s Sustainable Affordable Housing (SAH) initiative. She also contributed her climate communications expertise, and interest in building science and the energy transition, to Toronto Home Retrofits, a not-for-profit organization derived from Toronto’s Pocket Change Project.
Sarah holds a BA in communications and history from York University. When she’s not working, you can find her playing music or at a poetry book launch.
