We are pleased to announce the election of Tom Holloway as the newest member to the Pembina Institute’s Board of Directors. As a professor in the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary and CFA charterholder, Tom brings considerable financial expertise to the board and to the board’s Finance and Audit Committee.
At the University of Calgary, in addition to teaching finance and governance classes, Tom supervises a student-run investment fund and several other experiential initiatives. In industry, Tom has worked in wealth and asset management at established firms and helped found a venture backed start-up that recently raised series A. At the Pembina Institute, with his background and expertise in sustainable finance practices and trends, Tom will provide valuable contributions to the organizations’s strategic outlook and direction.
Tom and his family of five recently moved into a small hobby farm outside Airdrie, Alberta with their two dogs where they enjoy bike rides, campfires, skiing, and playing in the snow. In his own words, Tom describes himself as a “creative and entrepreneurial investment professional with heart and energy. Always looking to drive team value with new ideas, mentorship, and connecting people. Passion for capital markets, governance, and teaching. Let's experiment, then make careful choices to grow well and help others.”
We thank all our board members for their ongoing commitment, participation, and generous support of the Pembina Institute.
