The Clean Energy Coalition is comprised of landowners living near the Genesee Power Plant and environmental groups. The CEC objects to the amendments that Capital Power is seeking to the AENV Approval and AUC Approval for its Genesee 3 expansion which would remove requirements to offset the plant's greenhouse gas emissions to a level equivalent to those of a Natural Gas Combined Cycle plant. These amendments, if granted, would result in a significant increase in the greenhouse gas emissions from the power plant.
